The task

The client had tested the geo on their own and landed on an unstable result. Needed to launch a weight-loss nutra offer into Brazil combining Facebook and native traffic, and assess the payback of both channels over four weeks.

We worked the "Nutra" vertical in the Brazil market. Payment model — CPA per confirmed order, main sources — Facebook Ads, native advertising.

How we did it

The plan was built so each step could be rolled back on its own.

  • Built "before/after" creatives with ordinary-looking, non-"model" people instead of polished fitness-model imagery.
  • Wrote ad copy with regional, local slang instead of standard formal Portuguese.
  • Launched Facebook and native traffic in parallel from day one, rather than sequentially.

What went wrong

The first real setback hit during scaling. Facebook and native traffic behaved differently: Facebook delivered faster initial volume at a higher starting CPA, while native started cheaper but took longer to reach comparable scale — a sequential launch would have made these hard to compare fairly.

Launching both channels in parallel from day one made it possible to use each one's strengths without waiting for one to prove itself before testing the other; by the end of the campaign both channels converged on a similar CPA.

The result

By the end of the period, the setup hit its planned numbers. Over the four weeks: roi — 171%, spend — $18,200, revenue — $49,300, net profit — $31,100.

Over four weeks the campaign delivered $49,300 in revenue on $18,200 spent — 171% ROI and $31,100 net profit.

What we took away

  • An attainable rather than idealized visual in a "before/after" creative consistently outperforms polished fitness imagery.
  • Genuinely regional slang in copywriting gives a durable lift compared to generic countrywide-language localization.
  • Launching multiple channels in parallel from day one allows a fair comparison of their strengths without losing time to sequential testing.
These numbers belong to one specific setup, geo, and buying period. Economics will differ on another offer or in another season — we always recalculate them before launch.
